40 Minutes Potato Facial That Can Change Your Whole Skin

The humble potato is comfort food for most of us, but do you know it can also fulfil your ‘skin goal’?
Yes, potato facial is one of the simple yet very effective ways to get clear and flawless skin.
The facial I’m sharing you have 6 Steps:

Step 1
Cleanser

Cleansing your face is a crucial part of any kind of skincare routine.
It helps get rid of dirt, excess oil, and makeup, giving you a clean face to work with and preparing your skin to be more receptive to the ingredients that you are going to nourish it with.
You’ll Need:
Potato Juice
Juice a raw potato and use it with a cotton pad as a cleanser to clean your face with daily.
This will not only clean, and remove excess oil, it will also help with other skin impurities.
Potato can also be used to clean your face and to reduce the number of pimples you have, and to help with oily skin.
Clean with it and then rinse.

Step 2
Exfoliation

Exfoliating is another extremely important step when it comes to facial.
Exfoliating your skin helps remove all the dead skin cells that tend to clog your pores.
It helps instantly brighten your face by revealing the younger and healthier layers of your skin.
You’ll Need:
Potato Juice
Yellow Lentis
Lemon Juice
Honey
Soak two tbsp yellow lentils in water overnight.
Next morning, put the lentils in the grinder and make a paste.
Add in a tbsp each of lemon juice and fresh potato juice.
Add a tsp of honey. Grind again, and if the mixture looks too tight, add some water.
Once everything gets mixed together, apply it all over the face and massage gently for a minute or two.
Let it sit on the skin for 15-20 minutes. Once it turns dry, wet your fingertips and start scrubbing.
Be gentle though. Continue scrubbing for 3-5 minutes and then, wash off the skin with fresh water.
Repeat 2-3 times a week.
This will not only unblock pores and get rid of the impurities on the face but also helps in lightening facial hair, thanks to the bleaching properties of potato juice.
Potato juice is a great exfoliator for our face.
It contains Vitamin C which helps in clearing the skin.
The natural bleaching properties of potato juice also helps in improving the complexion as well.
Yellow lentils are known for wonderful exfoliation benefits.
When mixed with potato juice, they help in unclogging pores and removing the impurities, thus giving clear, glowing skin.

Step 3
Steam

Steam is the best way to kick off your at-home facial.
The steam helps relax your skin and open up your pores.
This allows your skin to release toxins and soak up all the goodness that the facial has to offer.
Take a bowl of very hot water.
Place a towel over your head and lean over the pot so that the towel creates a tent to hold the steam.
Lean over the pot to steam your face. Do not lean too close as the vapors can be quite hot.
Do this for 5-10 minutes. If you feel the steam starting to cool during this time, blow into the pot so that it lets out more vapours.

You will need:
1 medium-size Potato
Turmeric

Milk is a wonderful natural moisturizer for our skin.
Also, it comes loaded with vitamins, minerals, and proteins that nourish our skin from within and make it glowing.
Furthermore, the lactic acid content in milk offers bleaching benefits for our skin and makes the complexion lighter and brighter.
Along with potato and milk, this face pack also contains olive oil.
Olive oil is a great skin moisturizer.

Your freshly revealed and nourished skin will need hydration for lasting radiance.
A moisturizer will help hydrate your skin and lock moisture in so that your skin is less prone to damage.
